While it is true that the word of God says that exercise takes little advantage compared to piety (1 Timothy 4: 8), both speak of a natural and spiritual journey through faith, so that by exercising we can contemplate the creation of God and be grateful for what allows us to live, regardless of the current situation in our lives we know that everything God did is good (many things have been corrupted because of man), Genesis 3: 8 says "And they heard the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day; and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden", he also walks in the midst of his people nowadays and from the beginning sought to have communion with the human being.
Jesus during the time he was on earth did what his Father entrusted him that is to manifest the Kingdom of Heaven and bring Salvation to Humanity, walked the path from baptism to Calvary to finish his work, that way of walking allowed us to recover the Life he gave for the benefit of all those who believe in him, not only can we speak of obtaining longevity in natural terms as a result of physical activity and other healthy measures, Jesus gives us more than that, an Eternal Life; the passage of each person through natural life can leave a mark in the hearts of those around us so let's seek the wisdom of God, James 3:17 says "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, kind, benign, full of mercy and good fruits, without uncertainty or hypocrisy " to act with love and humility.
2 Timothy 2: 5 says "And also he who competes as an athlete, does not win the prize if he does not compete according to the rules", is a good example for the life of Faith, indicates to develop a discipline and be constant in our work, being firm in the foundations of Truth. Discipline are coordinated attitudes, with which you are instructed to develop skills faster, or to follow a certain code of conduct or "order" (Wikipedia), is made up of habits or patterns of behaviors that lead us to repeat or reproduce certain actions and generalize to similar situations, are formed by repeated reaction to an event and shapes the behavior of the human being, the result is: learning (more or less permanent change in time that responds to an adjustment to the environment).
It is necessary to acquire habits that improve our lifestyle and serve as scaffolding to adopt other similar behaviors as the California research initially spoke, choosing to direct our behavior towards a healthy life. The walk allows us from the psychological point of view to resume operant conditioning based more on gratification than on punishment and fear, motivating us to live life with meaning.
That´s what God wants from us - that we life to please him.
